HOW TO GET A LIBRARY CARD

Residents of the city of Kelso are eligible for library cards. To receive your card we require a valid Washington State Driver’s License or Identification Card/Military ID; and a document that shows current name and street address. Some examples are:

  • Voter’s Registration card
  • Mail
  • Utility Bill
  • Printed Cheques
  • Auto Registration

Minors under the age of 18 may get a library card with their parent’s or legal guardian’s permission. All applications must be made in person.

NON-RESIDENTS

If you live outside the city limits of Kelso there is a fee for library service.


Annual Family Card: $70.00
Annual Senior Card: $35.00
3-month Family Card: $20.00
6-month Family Card: $40.00

CAN I RENEW BOOKS?

An item can be renewed twice unless someone is waiting for it. You can renew in person, by phone or online.


HOW CAN I GET A BOOK FROM THE LONGVIEW PUBLIC LIBRARY?

If you have a Kelso Library card you can borrow up to 3 books at a time from the Longview Library. You must start the process at the Kelso Library by asking library staff to fill out interlibrary loan paperwork. Bring this paperwork over to the Longview Library and check the items out directly. Books must be returned to the library from which you borrowed them.


CAN I BORROW A DVD/VIDEO FROM THE LONGVIEW LIBRARY?

No, the borrowing agreement is for non-Video materials only.
